Welcome to the Richland County Public Library's resource
guide to starting a small business. This is the best
place to begin planning when starting a small business
in the Midlands.
Small businesses are vital to the economic vitality and well-being of
Richland County. As a service to local residents, the librarians in
Business, Science, and Technology Reference at the Main Library have
developed and will maintain this web site to provide you access to the
most important and up-to-date information on starting a small business
in the Midlands.
There are many relevant books and periodicals available
at the Richland County Public Library. In addition,
the Library provides computers with Internet access
as well as some computers with word processing capabilities.
The computers with word processing software are available
for use by appointment. The Richland County Public Library
also provides access to subscription online business
databases that are available for searching on-site at
the Library. If you have a Richland County Public Library
card, some of these databases may be
searched remotely from your home or business.
If you have any questions about this material, please consult with the librarians
at the Business, Science,
and Technology Reference Desk on the third floor
of the Main Library or call the Business, Science, and
Technology reference desk at 929-3401.
