This weekly magazine is intended for higher education faculty and administrators, but is relevant for others interested in the field of higher education such as researchers, students, federal and state legislators, government policy-makers, and taxpayers. Each issue includes three separate sections. The main section deals with current developments and issues in higher education, and features articles on faculty, research, money and management, international issues, students, and athletics. The “Chronicle Review” includes letters to the editor and opinion articles. The “Career Network” section provides hundreds of job listings, plus several career news and advice articles. The “Events in Academe” section is issued twice a year, and indexes meetings, events, and deadlines for fellowship, grant, paper, and prize applications. An annual Almanac issue covers statistics and facts about both state and national levels of higher education in the U.S.
