LinkedIn
This business-oriented networking site is used primarily by professionals for the exchange of information, ideas and opportunities. Members (registered users) can keep track of contact details of people in business in order to locate jobs and business opportunities. Employers also use it as a resource for finding potential candidates.

 

Ryze
Ryze is another free (no fee) networking site that connects business professionals with special attention given to entrepreneurs. Members can post networking-oriented home pages, and external organizations can establish sub-networks on the site. To sign up requires an ID (user name) and password.

CareerBuilder
Claiming to be the largest online job site in the U.S., CareerBuilder provides career searches for millions of visitors. Users may post resumes and browse job openings by company, industry and job category. Local jobs are featured.

 

Monster
As the world’s largest job search engine, Monster helps match job seekers to jobs using their skills in their geographic location. It offers two levels: standard search and power search, and users can also search by keyword and location.

 

Yahoo HotJobs
This job search site is owned by the popular search engine and provides basic tools and advice for job seekers, professional firms and employers. A user may post as many as ten versions of a resume.
