Apple iPad

The iPad can be used to read ebooks, and to listen to downloadable music and audiobooks.

eBooks

Get Set Up:

• Install Overdrive Media Console for iPhone/iPad from the Apple App store.
• visit myrcpl.lib.overdrive.com on your mobile browser or use the app’s “Get Books” function to set RCPL as your default library.
• Browse available eBooks (Fiction & Nonfiction)
• Find a title and click “Add to Cart”.
• Click “Proceed to Checkout” and enter your RCPL library card number and PIN.
• Click “Confirm Checkout”
• Click “Download”. The eBook will load into your OverDrive Media Console. You can choose to download it then or later.
• An Adobe ID is required to read eBooks on your iPad. You will be prompted to enter your Adobe ID during your first book download. If you do not already have an Adobe ID, you can create one for free at the Adobe website.

Audiobooks

• MP3 Audiobooks from OverDrive can be transferred wirelessly using the OverDrive Media Console for iPhone, available for download at the App Store.

• MP3 and most WMA audiobooks from OverDrive can be transferred from a PC to an iPod.

• MP3 audiobooks from OverDrive can be transferred from a Mac to an iPod

• MP3 audiobooks from NetLibrary can be transferred from a PC to an iPod

Get Set Up

• Install Overdrive Media Console for iPhone from the Apple App store.

• Browse available MP3 Audiobooks.
• Find a title and click “Add to Cart”.
• Click “Proceed to Checkout” and enter your RCPL library card number and PIN.
• Click “Confirm Checkout”
• Click “Download”. The audiobook will load into your OverDrive Media Console. You can choose to download it in Parts then or later.
