The Cooper General Reference Desk (named for Dr. Noble Cooper) is on the second level of the Main Library. Here you will find materials on a wide variety of subjects. The topics include philosophy, psychology, religion, social science, education, customs, etiquette, language, art, music, literature, travel and history. A librarian is available at this desk to assist you whenever the library is open.
If the Richland County Public Library does not own a specific book, the General Reference department may borrow it, if available, from another library through interlibrary loan. Ask the General Reference Desk at the Main Library for details about this service.
