Library Information

Get Carded

That's right. Videos, CDs, DVDs, Magazines and books --all for the asking. How? By getting a Library Card at any RCPL location. Cost? Free if you live in Richland County. Age Restriction? None. If you are under 14 your parent or guardian must sign your application.

Check it Out

Be sure to bring your library card with you! Books, Magazines, Audio Cassettes & Compact Discs check out for three weeks (21 days) New Books, DVDs, CD-ROMS, & Videos check out for one week (7 days)

Your Limits

60 items of any kind with no restrictions on videos, DVDs or CDs.

Time's Up

You can renew your items up to 2 times using any of the following methods: Phone any location -be prepared to provide your library card number Use TeleMessaging, our automated patron notification system -call 929-3425 or 929-3427 and have your library card number and PIN ready.

Renew through the Web

Click on the Catalog button above, then click on My Account to check holds, renew books and review account information. You'll need your library card number and PIN.

Hold It

If your item is not on the shelf, put a hold on it! How? By using the online catalog at any RCPL location or on the World Wide Web (click on the catalog button at the top of the page).

Return It

At any Richland County Public Library Location. Pay up You'll be fined if you turn in items late! Most items are 20 cents a day. Videos, DVDs and CD-ROMS are 75 cents a day.

Responsibility

Yes, you are responsible for everything you checked out on your card. If lost or stolen, report your loss to the library immediately!
